Today, I am down to 191.0.
We had a goodbye potluck lunch for one of our team members yesterday. I got to enjoy the party, make it last, and still stay under the kcal range on my friend's diet plan.
The thing that gets me with potlucks is that I want to try everyone's food. And, I don't want to miss out on foods I know I like. I want seconds on the good stuff, and I want to come back a few hours later and get another plate of the leftovers. Yes, I am quite aware of how Fatty McFatkins that sounds. I own my shame. It's a good thing our potlucks don't happen often.
People who know I'm supporting my friend's diet were wondering if I was going to participate. As I approached the table full of food, I still wanted to try everything, so I got small portions of everything. I ate two lemon pepper wings and celery at the party. Then proceeded to have another 150 kcals of food every 1-2 hours until I reached the dessert. I had no way to transport the dessert home so I ate the scoop of parfait and scoop of banana pudding right before I left.
Today, is my rest day from bike commuting. It was mandatory. Yesterday, my muscles burned every time I moved. It felt like I was dehydrated even though I was hydrated. I read up on it last night and the recommendation was that I take a rest day. So today, everything is on foot and tomorrow I hope to run 6 miles on this new trail I heard about.
