Ok the scales are a funny thing.. I got up, weighed myself.. at 317, sat at the computer doing my normal stuff without eating.. then had to use the restroom ).. before I went weighed myself again.. 316.4.. and then afterwards(sorry for being gross but had a bowl movement).. 315.8-- so my dear friends what weighted should I go by?

I usually take the highest weight so I get a good start for the next weigh in (except when the highest will put me in the plus).

I have an official weigh in every Friday. I do weigh myself every morning to make sure I stay on track. As you know, scales do not always show the same weight every time you step on it, your bathroom use will show different weights, eating, sweating, etc will also change the scales too. So my take on the scale is: As soon as you get up do your morning bathroom routine, and weigh yourself once and use that weight for the day. Don't bother going back on it until the next day. Change in clothing will also show differences. My house has 1 male and 3 females so I wear shorts, under wear and a t-shirt for the scale weigh ins (it's in a common room).

I usually go with the first one in the morning. My scale is weird as well. Once I am up and weigh myself, then check again, like 15 minutes later it can be up by as much as 1/2 lb. I just go with the first one in the morning.

Scales can be so fickle! That is why it is best to give them a cold shoulder, the next time (maybe a week lol) that you step on the scales, it just might appreciate you better! Get my drift?

Thanks guys...Well I think that I am staying at the first weigh in.. that I had this morning.. cause if I go any lower, and my weight is higher next time.. then well it could be discouraging.. i know I am breaking one of the cardinal rules of loosing weight..

Your journal is funny today. I have tried weighing after I "use the facilities" but my weight is always exactly the same. i guess the number is entirely relative in the broad scheme of our progress. Keep up the funny journals. Happy Wednesday!

It doesn't matter as long as you are consistent with it. Your weight is going to fluctuate throughout the day. I weigh in the mornings after I use the restroom. If you've really lost, it will show up on tomorrow morning's weigh in.
