I'm not feeling all that great today...mentally

I made the mistake of having chicken breast for dinner Saturday night and i still feel disgusting. Its crazy how much meat slows down your digestive process. I feel like everything i eat is just sitting there. I feel so gross.

I hit 134 twice this weekend, but today was back up to 136. I'm blaming lack of water and too much salt. I ate some less than ideal foods this weekend, we ate out twice but i made good choices both times, well, other than the chicken.

Thats about all i have to say today. I hope my mood improves before gym time tonight. I have a hard time focusing when i'm feeling down in the dumps.

Happy MOnday??

I agree, when I eat meat (very rarely) everything screeches to a halt. It takes a good week to get back to normal. I feel much lighter and cleaner when I don't eat it- and limit the dairy too.

I used to stick to fish, turkey, and chicken because anything else used to slow my digestion to a backwards crawl. When I first went low carb, I did not change anything else about what I ate. I discovered that everything was digesting a whole lot faster. I experimented with red meat (the worst for my system) and it got digested just as fast as everything else. So......this causes me to wonder if carbs should be significantly decreased on days you plan to have meat. Like a balancing act, I guess. Tell me what you think.

I have a slow digestive system anyways, and the only time in my entire life that ive been regular is as a vegetarian. When i did low carb a few years ago, pre-baby, i had to eat mass amounts of green veggies AND take a fiber supplement and i still wasnt regular. I guess some people are meant to digest meat and some arent.
