3 pounds in one day! Ok, guess I'll elect to choke down this food for another day. I had to break down last night and have a 1/2 a smoothie at about 730pm. I only ate half my dinner, a chicken and cabbage thing I concocted that was disgusting. I really need to work on living without salt and sweetners. It is a struggle!

Congratulations... 3 pounds is awesome! The first couple of weeks are the hardest so if you can make it through it will be worth the payoff in the end! Success is the best revenge.. Stay Strong!

Hi, the salt thing takes some mind adjustment. Try fresh herbs instead of dried ones. We had turkey burgers last night, with fresh basil and chunked cranberries, topped with cilantro, tomatoes and cucumber. They were terrific, and DH loved them. He's the skinny one lol! He thought maybe I'd snuck in some cinnamon, which is amazing on meat! (not this time)
I've also found that following recipes exactly is best; normally the creative side of me takes over in the kitchen, which ends up in the ucky stuff like your chicken cabbage goop.

Thanks both for your encouragement! Last night was better. Shrimp sauted in lemon juice and garlic - THAT was good. The broccoli was ok, but I put too much lemon on it. Also I made the deviled eggs in the book, but I didn't like them. I have two more of those to eat today. I will try the turkey burger idea. It's actually not all the diet's fault. I have never been a veggie eater. But I'm trying sticking to it (except for an extra fruit yesterday).
