Been stuck at 147 for 2 weeks now. Why torture myself for no benefit?

One of the most important aspects to weight loss is to find a diet and exercise plan that is sustainable for the rest of your life. Because you will have to watch what you eat for the rest of your life in order to keep it off. I have made peace with that. Make sure you goal weight a number that is healthy but allows you to keep it off without having to starve to do it. There are lot's of diet plans out there. If you are not happy with what you are doing, try something else. You only have a small amount to lose, so it may come off slower. Make sure you track your food honestly. Drink you water (it flushes out sodium and keeps things moving). Focus on lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. Limit processed foods (contain a lot of sodium). You can actually eat more healthy foods and still lose, compared to a lot of processed junk. If you want something, plan for it and have it. If I want the occasional big mac, I have it with a side salad and eat lighter the rest of the day. You may need to keep changing things up till you find what works for you. Just because you don't see the benefit on the scale, doesn't mean your body isn't getting benefits from a healthy diet and exercise. You can lose fat and not see the scale move. People sometimes stay the same for a couple of weeks and then drop a few pounds. As you age, it is so important to try to keep yourself at a healthy weight because you will lose muscle each year after 30 and you can gain without realizing it. The benefit is your healthy, a strong lean body and a long quality life. Good luck!
