So do you only weigh once a week? I'm all over the place...sometimes everyday, sometimes every other day, sometimes even every few days.

Truth be told, I get on the scale everyday -- but generally only record my Wednesday reading, or sometimes if there is a change I'll record on the weekend for my challenges. A small group of friends and I regularly weigh-in on Wednesdays and report our weight and our "exercise points" for the week. We give ourselves 1 point for every 15 minutes of exercise, and we keep a running total and award prizes - silly but you gotta do what you gotta do! When it was just my best friend and I we used to pay ourselves a dollar for each 15 minutes and put it in our Spa fund (which was usually a yearly trip to Vegas) even though we never managed to hit the Spa! Well whatever you want to call it was our reward. She is on here too - Mellowrunner. We always went to Vegas in the Fall or winter but because of my surgery we couldn't go last year so we're going in April and we're going to Academy of Country Music Awards Show at the MGM on April 3rd! We're both country music fans and are so excited about this trip. It's a miracle we were able to get tickets. We've been trying to drop the weight before we go, but we're both pretty much stuck. We've been on the weight roller coaster for years. Last time I really stayed at or below my goal for a long time, but the inactivity for the surgery did a number on me and my whole body composition has changed. I really need to get the muscle back, but I'm still not able to push myself like I used to. Hopefully once the weather breaks I'll be getting in a lot more exercise, walking, some running, biking, gardening, etc.

How fun! I have been rewarding myself with small things that I have been wanting - new makeup, manicure/pedicures, bought a tanning package to get ready for the cruise, etc. It always helps when you are working toward a goal. I know you will break through and reach yours! :)
