I hit 40 lbs lighter today! Super thrilled. Keeping track of my calories seems to be how I can do this. *nods*

Diet-wise, I had a bit of an interesting weekend. Friday, I ate... pretty terribly, I guess. I made cupcakes for an event, and of course had to taste-test some batter and frosting... and the event was at a chinese buffet, where I stuffed myself with somewhere close to 1000 calories... but even with all that, I still was around my calorie limit...

The next few days were *strange*. I ate almost nothing, because I was out with my boyfriend, and we have a bad habit of forgetting to eat sometimes. One day my meals consisted of some chocolate (emergency rations i kept in my backpack!) for breakfast and some chips and vegetarian chili cheese dip for... lunch/dinner. Not healthy choices, but again, I kept around my calorie goal. Sunday I got a dose of veggies in a footlong veggie subway, and an 'individual' portion of KFC cole-slaw (I checked the nutrition facts before making that choice), but... now writing up my calories, though I didn't feel too terribly hungry, I only had 700 calories that day... which is bad. :<

I'm back at school now, which means a return to 'full' meals. My caloric intake should go back to normal. *nod*

On the great side, I was into the 170s last night when I weighed myself out of curiosity. When I weighed myself this morning "all official-like," I was 178.6. That puts me exactly 40 lbs down from when I started. The amount I still have to lose is now less than 20 lbs. It's exciting - I don't think I honestly let myself hope I'd get this close. I'm confident I *can* make it to my goal by graduation - I'm ahead of the game, even. I'm going to graduate with the weight I've wanted for years... it's almost too good to be true, made even sweeter by how hard I've worked for this. <3

Congratulations! I lost 40 pounds years ago, but I still remember how good it felt. Good luck with the rest of your 20!
