New scale. Stayed the same on the old scale. Says my body fat percentage is 31%. Yikes! That sounds like a lot.

Been sick since Wednesday, so I only worked out two days this week.

I'm so glad it's the weekend. I get to rest up and possibly have some fun too. Planning on doing some clothes shopping :)

Looking forward to getting back to working out when this stupid cold decides to leave me.

I hope you all have a good weekend.

Aww...hope you start feeling a little better soon. When I miss my workouts I get irritable and my body hurts...in an uncomfortable way - vs. hurting "good" when I lifted a bunch of heavy weight!

I hope you're better now! As for the body fat percentage. Women have, as a rule, more than 10% of body fat than men of equivalent "fitness". That's one thing to take into account. Also, if you are measuring your body fat percentage on a bio-impedance scale, such as mine, do NOT drink ANY water before taking that measure because, at least my scale, will read all that water as fat lol. So don't worry too much about it. Ideally, you want to take a body fat percentage first thing after you wake up and using the bathroom and before drinking or eating anything :) Have a great weekend in spite of that cold! :) The most accurate indicative of your present shape is really your waist measure IMHO.

Sounds high. That's not bad. 20% is easy bikini body fat. Female bodybuilders in competitoin shape are 12-10%

Those 12-10% in females are equivalent to like 4% in males however ;) Those are really extreme measures to compare to! heheheh

Bodybuilders really go to extremes :)

As this pictures shows, http://tinyurl.com/ael92kv 22% is already awesome looking! :)

That's "real" 22% though. Body fat scales are always a little inaccurate :P

I agree Euheide. Getting down to that low a body fat level is crazy hard. It's impossible to hold as well. Bodybuilders actually time their weight loss so that they hit their peak on the day of the contest. Some miss it by a day and they have no chance of winning. I'm loving the way I feel between 15 and 10%. I think I look fine at both of those %s as well. Everyone has different goals. I love lifting and it's my new reason to watch my weight. It's a reason to be vigilant.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone.

I'm definitely not aiming to be a bodybuilder, lol. When I looked up body fat percentages, my number is near the high end of "normal" for a woman, so I'm fine with that. Of course, it'll be great if I can get it lower. :)
