It works if you do it, so why do I have so much trouble staying on track???
229.6 lb Lost so far: 49.4 lb.    Still to go: 29.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Too many temptations and many years of not really knowing how to eat right. I was a stringbean and thought I could eat whatever, whenever since I didn't start to gain weight until after first baby at just 20 years old. Then it was gain,lose(medifast-all liquid), gain, lose(optifast-all liquid). The years went by, the habit of poor eating got cemented in my brain and at 73 I'm still playing the same game. It' really hard to get rid of years of bad habits, but look what you've done, Johanne! Wow-4.4 lb loss! Give yourself a great big hug! When tempted, think of being 73 years old and still fighting the weight loss battle. Maybe that will keep you on the track you are on this day,cause you have really accomplished something here!

LOL! Hi Himalayan. I'm 70, so I'm right behind you. This week was a wash. I'm back at it tomorrow . . . maybe today. It all depends on whether my son decides to surprise me and take me out for Mother's Day. Somehow, I doubt it. He just had a brand new furnace and AC installed for me with all new duct work. He just may think that's enough! :-) Hey Me and K, thanks for checking in on me!

I find it comes and goes. yes, I have "hollow leg" eating days. As long as you log it and track it, you will modify behavior. It is human. My calories swing in about a 500 calorie swing. Some days I am higher, some days lower. It all works out in the big picture!
