Good Morning, FS Warriors! Well, back to a normal workday, but only for two days, and then off to Branson, Mo. for a little R&R. Meanwhile, up at 3:45 this morning and out the door for my morning ritual. But 58F degrees! Yahoo! Didn't even need a jacket, just a lightweight polyester running shirt and I was toasty warm in minutes. Well, I did have pants on also. Didn't break any speed records; jogged a couple miles at a 13:30 pace. Breathing was kind of labored even at that pace; surprised me coming off a rest day. I got pretty worn-out yesterday pushing a kid around the yard, trying to teach him how to ride a bicycle. He's a slow learner, did fine until he had to turn, always got half into a turn, got scared and bailed off the bike. I guess you could chalk that up as interval training for me; sure didn't feel like a rest day. I was glad when everyone went home. Not that I don't love them, you understand, I just don't love them as much after about 12 hours.

Dieting has kind of sucked. I've fallen back into some bad habits. Seems I don't think too much about the little snacks I pick at during the holidays. I have to keep reminding myself that I need to pay attention to everything that crosses the pearly whites. Vacationing is going to be a challenge. I am a realist; I know that I am going to eat too much. I'll try to steer clear of the high cal stuff that doesn't add a lot of nutritional value, but I know I am going to eat well - what else do you do on vacation? LOL! I am taking my running stuff, and I do plan on getting up in the morning and running a couple miles before the day begins. That should help somewhat.

Well, I'm sure these two days at work are going to drag, but I'll get through it. Why can't these two days go as fast as the vacation days are going to? Who has an answer for that one? I guess time goes by fast when you're having fun. Alternatively, I suppose you can say it doesn't when you're not having fun. What's a person to do! Makes you wonder. I guess old grumpy people must feel like they've lived 3 lifetimes, and are ready to move on. So, I guess, for me and my house, we choose to live a happy and fun-filled life, even if time does seem to fly by. But, on the other hand, "laughter doeth good like a medicine," so you probably have more of that time to prove out the theory, if you live a happy life. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

DW and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed. I turned to her and said, "Do you want to have sex?" "No," she answered. I then said, "Is that your final answer?" She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying "Yes." So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend." . . . And that's when the fight started.

Things are OK though, she is going to Branson with me. Anyway, hoping everyone has a wonderful day. Toodles!

If you'd chosen 'ask the audience' I'd have wondered if you were in Bed, Bath & Beyond. I do think the earth rotates faster on weekends than weekdays and definitely know it speeds up in the last hour before I have to get to work. I used to think it my life was wound too tight like a watch. Guess it just happens.

What a DK joke. Hahahaha. Enjoy Branson. I have a client who LOVES it there and goes like 4 times a year. I think his daughter is even going to school there. Great job on the run and the bike training. Interval training. Haha. What do you usually have for snacks? Maybe change up the snacks, not the snacking?
