I got a new scale. I tried it in 4 different places in the house, and in 3 places it read the same, so I'm pretty confident it will record fairly accurately where I have put it. I was so afraid it would read a higher number than I currently weigh, but IT DOESN'T!! It actually has me about 6 lbs less than my old scale (I was never really sure of that scale, but figured it would at least show me if I was gaining or losing). So, putting in new numbers today to reflect my real weight. I debated if I should change my starting weight, but figured that might really screw up my chart. So, I will just give myself the "bonus" of having lost 6 lbs overnight!

I need a new scale. What did you get? There are so many out there. I am worried about the same thing (a new one will weigh me more) LOL. Six pounds lighter than you thought is a great bonus!

Got one at Target. They had quite a variety...mostly appearance (glass, stainless, etc.). I heard the ones calculating body fat weren't accurate insofar as body fat, so I just got a plain one.
