Well folks finally hit the stall I knew was coming eventually. Scale moved not an ounce this morning. I have been eating (most of the time) about 300-400 calories a day as I am doing a VLCD and am currently part of a challenge. So what I'm gonna do is make sure I am eating 500 calories a day and hopefully fool my body outta this plateau. With any luck I wont have to eat more than that to break the plateau. I know that eventually I will have to slowly up the calories to maintain my goal weight. I am only doing this for a short time (until goal). I also know that the more I lose the harder it will be to reach goal as my body will need less calories.
Oh well I just gotta keep trudging on...........

Actually staying the same for a few days or more is pretty normal with weight loss. No one loses every day and if you do, you are really lucky. If you weighed once a week you wouldn't even notice. I don't know how you eat so little. If I go too low on calories, i get severe headaches and vomiting, lol! Make sure you are taking a multivitamin because there is no way you are getting the nutrients your body needs. I don't know how you are doing it, but good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I do it with lots of lemon water,a list of vitamins that equal about 16 different supplements and a very strong commitment. I have been doing this for about 6 weeks. Had a blood panel done last Friday and doc says all levels are great

Back to the plateau thingy! When weighing every day, its very easy to hit a perceived plateau. You can only lose a few ounces of body fat in a 24 hr period (there's ~219 cal in an ounce of fat) -- that's all the body is physically capable of processing. An 8 fl oz glass of water weighs 8.32 oz(?!). You'd have to reduce your caloric intake by 1832 calories to burn that much body fat, so its easy to see how EASY it it to upset the scale by just drinking water prior to weighing! If you're retaining even a little bit of water your weight will be skewed from day to day. Just accept that self-correcting errors are going to pop up from time to time. As long as you're burning more calories than you're eating, something in your body is getting converted to energy! There are lots of things the body can "hang onto" for a few days to make it seem like you've plateaued, but something in there is keeping the pilot light burning and it'll show up when things level out again. Don't take the daily weights TOO seriously, measure true progress weekly or bi-weekly.

Thanks so much Sciguy....I needed that push from someone. I know logically to not weigh everyday as there are so many variables that can affect the numbers. I am going to stop weighing daily. As a matter of fact I am going to get rid of my scale (give to my sis) and weigh once a week at walmart by the pharmacy section when I do my weekly shopping. Thanks so much again! Sometimes one just needs a voice of reason to speak up. I wish u a safe and splendid night.

Particularly at your age, anorexia can have very severe complications. You should be seeking professional help.
