Fulltime, stressful job, horrible marraige, young child, no family nearby.... so hard to find headspace, let alone time to plan and motivation to keep it going :o/

Took a photo of my unshapely spare tyre yesterday to try to scare me into it and then went shopping for salad and vegetables!

Dieting can be fun if you find the one that works for you. I did Atkins which is low carb, high fat. I found www.dietdortor.com/lchf and refocused my efforts. On atkins I stopped losing, but then three months later discovered intermittent fasting. So I blended fasting with low carb, high fat and shockingly after 3 months of not losing anything I began dropping the weight. I've now lost 30lbs. Fasting is not for everyone. But with the three month plateau and the discovery of a way to actually drop the weight I was hooked. I haven't looked back and I am incredibly excited and I look forward not to my fast and the result they bring. Low carb, high fat has now become my new lifestyle and not a diet. I found what works for and though it takes time to actually drop the weight, the important thing is that its dropping and that keeps me motivated to keeeeeep going.

I meant to write I look forward to my fasts, and I found what works for ME.

I would never say dieting is "fun", lol. But "fun" is relative. You don't have much to lose, so it can take time to get it off. The weather is getting nicer, so pop child in stroller (if young enough) and go for a walk. Get a work out video (some are 30 minutes or less) and aim for 3x a week. Strength training combines with cardio will reshape your body. Focus on fat loss with lean protein, lean dairy, fruits and veggies. When you feel good about yourself, you can start making positive changes in other parts of your life.
