What I have discovered about myself; I like eating healthy. I will eat healthy if I have the healthy things ready. I grab poor choices when I do not prepare healthy snacks/meals in advance. This morning I made deviled eggs, a cucumber, onion and tomato salad with ACV and cabbage soup with nitrate free summer sausage, green beans and onion. When I need to munch, I am ready!! THANK GOD I LIKE VEGETABLES!! Hahahahahaha

i am the same way. Have been waiting for funds to go grocery shopping so last night out of despair had the pizza I made for the kids. Blah....I keep atkins shakes and bars in the car for times when I am rushed and don't pack protein snacks.......Your lunch sounds great. I am off to work out. I have waited til the last minute, now only an hour or so before school busses arrive...Dang

You are right. My fridge is full of veggies and fruit now, plus lots of water! My husband keeps some junk food but I have committed to not eating it. It is not an option for me. Woo hoo!

No junk food in my house, it's just me. I do definitely find that if I don't have a meal plan and my week somewhat prepped, I can get off track, like deep frying mushrooms last night. My plan has been derailed some since I ended up sick last week. Need to get organized this weekend

good work Kim, just be careful of 'nitrate free' products.... especially sausages or any other meats.... they may not hate nitrites but they do have celery juice which contains sodium nitrate and guess what it turns into when you eat it? sodium Nitrite !! Many food companies right now are packaging their products as "Nitrate free" but check the ingredients and you'll find Celery something, "a rose by any other name is just that"....

unplanned snacking is 90% culprit in weight gain as is the case with me . I am so frustrated

what is so stupid is that when I have the protein snacks handy I don't get hungry and it takes no willpower to stay on track.
