Ok, I was on auto pilot for a while. Gained 3.5 lbs back. So what has been happening? I think overconfidence. I have been eating the same exact things for a while now and I have granted myself permission to indulge, not necessarily in bad things, but in more of the good things than I should. I have two favorite foods, that I can't get enough of ... caramel rice cakes - I could (and have) eat the whole bag and all natural peanut butter. I could eat several teaspoons a day - on my toast, with an apple, by itself as a treat. I just can't seem to control the urge to overeat. The difference between my eating habits before and after is that I overeat good stuff now - but it is still overeating. And I can't loose any more weight. I think that is why I started over indulging. I did not see the weight go down, and got a little frustrated. So, I have two questions for myself: 1.) Why am I still overeating 2.) Where do I go from here? So, the short answer is (the long answer will require more reflection) is that I am overeating because I am not weighing myself regularly and not journaling what I eat regularly. I cannot go on auto-pilot. Also, I am not exercising three days a week as I was. Those things need to change immediately. As for where I go from here, the second short answer is: DOWN. Down in lbs. that is! I do not want to go back up. I have worked too hard for that. So, friends, as the song goes, "here I go again..."
