Here it is about 11 months later....and I'm down 70+ pounds. It's almost hard to remember how unhealthy I felt and looked.

I follow Weight Watchers, track everything eaten in a written 3-month tracker/journal. I go to a weekly WW meeting. I will probably have to do that for life. Kind of like AA for alcoholics. I need WW for my binge-eating impulses. They are still there. I'm just learning how to live with them.

I go to zumba once or twice a week. I go to yoga once a week. I try to take a 15-20 minute walk break 3 or 4 days a week at work. Then at least one other night during the week I try to exercise either at the gym or outside. Weekends are hit or miss. Sometimes full of activity...sometimes not.

For anyone on WW that is considering buying the active link to monitor your activity. It is worth it. At least it has been for me. I've been using it for the past 5 months or so and although sometimes I get sick of wearing it, it has almost become such a habit I would feel slightly naked without it.

Anyone starting out on their weight loss journey....you can do this. You just have to decide your health is worth the effort. Plus....before you eat something that is not so healthy think about why you are going to eat it. Is it worth the calories? Does it fit in your daily/weekly plan for losing weight? Will it really make you feel better...or worse/guilty for having eaten it. There are so many things that I used to love that are just not worth it to me now either calorie-wise or how they would affect my emotional well-being.

Go you! I think one of the most important factors to weight loss is realizing that you have to do this for the rest of your life in order to keep it off. I think of my WW points like dollars, some times its worth spending them on certain things and other times it's not.
