mrsgamgee's Journal, 10 March 2014

Well, yesterday was a bit of a write off.

The day we change the clocks is always hard, both spring and fall, but the spring time change is just so challenging. Throws me off for several days, but the first day is always a mess. Case in point, trying to get our little ones out the door for church yesterday was more chaotic than usual.

It also meant than I didn't get in my long walk in the morning, or my post-breakfast walk, as we were running out the door.

Lunch for me was a cheeseburger and a diet Pepsi on the run while I was doing errands. Yesterday's victory moment: I met a friend for coffee, and instead of having a milky sweet coffee drink, I had a sugar free Italian soda. Tasted like a treat with zero sugars. Yay!

But then things went downhill as I had both Yorkshire puddings with dinner and some ice cream for dessert.

I'm just thankful that the scale was kind to me today, given yesterday's splurges and lack of exercise.

So far today I've walked an hour, and now that I have a working pedometer, I have been able to adjust what type of walking I'm doing (went from 2mph to 3mph). I have some work to do to get back to where I was last summer, when I was walking 4.5 miles
253.6 lb Lost so far: 2.4 lb.    Still to go: 19.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
