Silverlakian's Journal, 08 March 2014

Well yes...after nearly three weeks of dreaming of toast...I had a slice of Bezian's Sourdough—whole wheat/rye...Let's see what that does to the scale.

For me, it has been fantastic. It has made me happier that any food I've eaten for the past two weeks...LOL. I feel like a wilted plant after a soak in cold water...Is it my imagination that my body is just sucking desperately on these 16 net carbs? LOL... Maybe carbs/wheat/gluten really is a physical addiction....of course so is oxygen...

Nothing wrong with indulging from time to time. Weight loss needs to be sustainable in the long term, and it wouldn't be if we tried to ban our beloved foods completely. I've had terrible weekends with unbelievable carb consumption and still managed a loss on a Friday weigh in. Not recommending that of course, lol, but your toast surely won't make or break you :-). Good luck and have a great weekend!!

I don't believe in deprivation, I do hope that you took your time with your toast and truly enjoyed every bite. Everything in moderation :)
