Feeling very depressed today...well, this week really. I'm not sure if it is the weather or hormonal related. But, I feel very low. My eating has been insane this week. I haven't started back to drinking soda, but everything else has been really off. I've had no energy to exercise, run, or do anything more than lounge around this week. I feel like I can't sleep or eat enough. As a result my weight has sky-rocketed.

Someone please give me a swift kick in the pants to get myself back on track.

*kick administered* Forget about what you've been eating 2MC, and slowly back away from the soda with your hands up. What's done is done. I often find that the hardest part of the dieting process is getting back on the wagon when you've fallen off. You get depressed, and start thinking terrible lies. Don't listen to the terrible lies, and don't listen to the scale. Your weight is high because of extra water to digest the extra food in your thirty feet of GI tract. It will come back down. What you need right now is to go for a run, run your pretty little heart out. That's all that stands between you now, and you being on point. Put your positive pants on, and just do it. No more feeling sorry for yourself. Stop thinking, just run.

I agree with Yolanda, it is difficult to snap out of a fall off the wagon but you are not going to feel better by not taking the bull by the horns and get back up for the ride. Don't listen to your negative self talk and do what is best for you. Love yourself.

The running buddy has vowed to get my butt out of the house and put in some mileage. Thank you all for the support. Man, I hope this was the last of winter...

Forgive yourself and move forward. Guilt has a way of making the problem worse because you keep hearing yourself say you messed up instead of saying I can DO this! Forgive yourself and then go DO it!

Take one meal at at time - you sound overwhelmed. Just do little baby steps. One good meal leads to another and then a short walk around the block can lead to exercise again. Be gentle.

This is what I do when I have lost my "weigh" -I reread my journals and the comments people have left for me. I also read others journals and use them as inspiration. There are so many here you wont have a problem locating them. Cut yourself some slack. You have great weight loss and WOW you have run 5Ks, marathons..I am so jealous as I will never run again. Start eating green --make a bowl of fresh fruit salad and pig out on that--fill up on protein. Don't let the 1 week relapse turn permanent!

Here's your swift kick! I'd like one in return as I have felt the same way only I did drink two, TWO diet drinks the other day. I rarely drink them at all but TWO in the same day! Maybe it's the weather getting us down. I think you all might have gotten it worse than we did since you are a little further north. Hang in there! Spring is right around the corner and those that sky-rocketed will take a deep plunge quickly!

You can get back on track and you will feel better and less depressed when you do. Think positive, then act in positive ways! :)

On the days you feel good running is easy, fun, rewarding, anyone can do that…It's those that get up and run when they feel like crap that end up completing the Marathon. How many people told you not to try, that you wouldn't be able to do it again??? GET YOUR BUTT UP AND GO RUNNING….NOW, unless you want them to be right?

Completed five miles this evening. The first mile felt rough but was rolling right along by mile three. Thank you all for the support. I feel like I've regained my bearings.

I feel the exact same way, I could have wrote the same words. Expect for soda, I was never a big soda drinker, I just do not like it . Messed up big the last few days with food. I know a lot of it is stress. I'm too afraid to get on the scale.

Do not be discouraged I've learned that when I feel my worst I must push forward. I have learned on this weight loss journey to never look back last week was last week and yesterday was yesterday tonight is almost over and tomorrow rain sleet or snow is another new and glorious day!!!! We can and we will do this!!
