Utter Disappointment

One week and no weight loss. Not even one ounce. I cant tell you how much that hurt. I have worked out harder this week than any other. I ate all the right foods, I didnt eat junk and I even got up my calories to where they should be.

What happened?

All I can think is that even though I ate well yesterday I still ate out. That can cause a bloat or some extra water weight for a day or two. Also, I worked out with weights all week. I did a lot of strength training and (even though Jillian said on biggest loser that its absolutely untrue) that may have built muscle and that weighs more.

This week I will weigh myself daily, not to be obsessive but to just keep track. I had already decided that prior to the weigh in. Then the week after I will do a once a week weigh in again.

This is a major set back for me. What I normally would do is eat. I will not do that this time. I need to put this in the past and move on. Today is game day and I want to be happy with my husband as we watch the STEELERS go to the super bowl. Thats right I said it, Here we go Steelers!

Today I am grateful for

1. A God who saw this coming and is holding me while I am upset.
2. Steelers in the playoffs!
3. A new way of thinking so that I can get this weight off.
4. New habits. Healthy habits.

Be blessed

You are probably right about the strength training. That stress on your muscles makes your body retain water. Not that strength training is a bad thing, but that's what happens. That same muscle will boost your metabolism, so keep doing what you are doing! You are on the right road! As a female, it could also be that week of the month that your body says, "Nope, I'm holding onto all the water weight I can!" If so, there will be a victory for you by the end of this week! ;) Keep the faith & have a wonderful SONday!
