I see yet another challenge on losing belly fat suggesting low-fat diet and crunches and situps. Not one mention of cardio which is essential. Building up muscles in the belly and eating less fat is not the answer.

It seems like the first place to put on weight is the last place to lose it. I don't think spot reduction is easily accomplished if it is all possible in the first place.

You're right Matt. It varies from person to person as to where the fat reduction occurs. Some people do unfortunately believe spot reduction is possible - oh if only it where true! It just saddens me to see such a challenge posted, it's like they are stuck in the 80s when that was the belief - eat less fat and do situps and your tummy will flatten.
