It's been awhile since I've been here. I sort of dropped out over the holidays. Surprisingly I didn't really gain much, just about a pound. That is something I'm actually pretty proud of, although I'm sure it wasn't because I was eating exceptionally well.
I need to start exercising though, I know that.

As I was reading a friends blog today I saw a link to another one. That site made me stop and think about why I'm trying to get healthier. I know that part of it is I was tired of being the fat mom at school activities. I also want to be able to keep up with my kids and my boyfriend. This summer we were going on a hike to the top of a waterfall. I had to stop about 1/2 way up. Everyone else stopped too..because I couldn't make it no one went. I don't want to be the reason my boys miss out on things.

I'm not sure why this one had the most impact on me but it did. I set it as my desktop background as a daily reminder. There are a lot of great pictures there.
