Need prayers for my hubby. He has developed a condition where his heart starts pumping really hard and faster than normal. He is really tired all the time. The episodes come and go. It has been happening for about a week. He just told me about it Sunday after we returned from our trip. Talked with our family doctor today about it. He thought it should be checked to try to determine the cause. Finally got hubby to concede that I should make an appointment with the doctor. We are going in tomorrow morning at 8:30 am. I called his Mom to see if there was any family history of things like this. Found out that her two of her sisters have and are having some of the same issues. One was tracked back to a low level of potassium, she has already passed away. His grandfather on his mother's side died when he was in the low 50's from heart issues. One of his Mom's brothers died in his 50's also from heart problems. My hubby is 51.

I will be sending love and prayers your way! One thing at a time, love. That's a scary family history but remember that medical science has come a long way, and your husband has already made so many positive changes. I'll be thinking of you guys

Hugs and prayers K! Glad that guy of yours is going to the doctor. All the above is so true. Medical science has gotten some better and it's good he is getting it checked out. Hang in there and take care of both of you!

I had been dealing with low potassium; but didn't have the other symptoms. You definitely need to get it checked out; good luck, hope it is a simple fix

Thanks all! Low potassium was not the issue. That was checked three months ago when he had a full blood workup done. The doctor could hear and then it was confirmed by EKG that he has extra heart beats. So he is wearing a heart monitor for the next 48 hours. He is to keep up with his same normal activities and keep a journal if he has any episodes during the time he is wearing the monitor. Friday late morning he is scheduled for an Echo cardiogram to get a picture of his heart to check for physical deformities. Then he will do a stress test that same day to check for any blockages. The doctor says he does not think it is anything dangerous at this time, but he wants to make sure that there are not any problems too! I feel more relieved now...even though I found out this morning that it has been happening for the last 2 years already. He told the doctor that it was infrequently before...but the last 4-5 days it is happening a lot more. (like several times a day)

Very worrisome, but good he is under his doctor's care. They seem to be taking action in a timely way. A big source of stress for you, so take care of yourself too. Will keep you both on my thots and prayers.
