Finding it hard to eat my 10 servings of veggies a day, but otherwise the SANE method is working well for me. I don't see how it's possible to get my 100 - 200 grams of protein a day and still consume 10 servings of veggies. I love fresh veggies, but I am stuffed all of the time. But I'll keep trying. It sure beats having cravings and being hungry every 2 hours like when I was eating IN-SANE (starches and sugars).

One thing I really appreciate about Sane eating is the principle of "satiety". I used to eat a hard boiled egg for breakfast and it would leave me hungry. Now I have a hard boiled egg in a kale salad with 1/2 grapefruit, yogurt dressing and pistachios. Why did it take me so long to figure this out?

I did the starvation thing for 40 years, cuz the g'ment and "conventional wisdom" said that was the only way to lose weight. Result: yo-yo weight gain loss continuously for those 40 years. Resulting in Diabetes, obesity, and poor health. My only hope is that the self appointed municipal experts get out of the way and let us heal our youth before it's too late for them.
