!!!!!!!!!!READ IF YOU DARE!!!!!!!!!!:) :)

Ok..this will be long but i am going to vent because i am stressed out!

I have been on diet after diet. Weight has become the top priority in my mind and rueling my days. I am getting a little tired of this.
I went on Atkins in 2007 to lose weight FAST. I was 298 pounds January of 2007 and by December of 07 i was 210 pounds.
Now I dont know if its because my body is still adjusting to not having a baby in it anymore since its only been almos 3 months or its just me period. But,Atkins is not working for me anymore. I can't stay focused on it or motivated and all i think about is cheating. I have tried recipes to switch it up but its still not helping.

So, after a long and tiring battle in my head and weighing the pros and cons of all the diets i have ever been on i have come to a conclusion.
I am going on Weight Watchers with an Atkins twist. I going to continue to eat my lean protein and green veggies (not starchy ones) but i am also going to have carbs. If i want a sandwhich i will eat it, if i want milk i will drink it and if i want something sweet i will eat it and not think twice because its allowed on weight watchers. I will buy low carb candy and bread but i will also eat some fruits and have some dairy.

I hope this works for me. Good luck to everyone out there!

It's a familiar story, many of us have been through the same. I would just like to stress that no matter what diet you choose, in the end, it's going to be calories in vs. calories out. The South Beach Diet is also among the good ones. Good luck Dana! :-)

Good luck on WW Dana. For me I can't have carbs. I was brought up in such a strict household no routine is difficult for me - though last night I had some carb snacks at work for energy. About 50g. Also I was in the military. If it works do it. If not try coming back and focus on what you CAN have and not what you can't - I live alone so I'm not constantly tempted like so many other people on here. There are very few guys on here because most men are married and their wives won't do this diet, and men often can be fat with a thin, pretty wife...

I agree with "information"... Whatever diet your choose, in the end, you have to look at calories in vs. calories out. My father-in-law (family practice Doc) thinks WW is a good way to go because it is all about what you choose to eat and how much of it you eat, but you are not cutting anything out.. So if you want to have that cookie or pasta or whatever, you can, but you have to watch what else you are eating that day. I don't think I could do a diet where I cut out carbs... I crave them too much!! But, whatever you do, stick with it.. Look at how far you've come already! You can do it!!!! :o)

Ww is a good plan. It's all about balance, but it's not a quick fix. It's about learning how to eat in moderation so you can keep it off. I would slowly add in carbs so you don't gain weight (after coming off a low carb diet). Give it a few weeks to see results. You can do it so you have plenty of lean protein, fruits and veggies. If you have any questions, just ask! Good luck!

Hey girly! As long as you are making the efforts to a healthier you, that's what counts. You have to find what will work for you. I support you 100% no matter what diet you choose!

We are all different and a diet plan that works for one may not do much for someone else. No matter what you do I firmly believe that keeping highly processed carbs to a minimum is the key not only to losing weight, but good overall health. If you cannot commit to the plan you have chosen for life, then that is not the plan for you. While I am a firm believer that Atkins and "Atkins-like" plans are the way to go, I recognize that this way of eating isn't for everyone. One thing you should keep in mind is that no matter what plan you choose you are not going to see your weight drop like a rock. You didn't gain it all overnight and you aren't going to lose it that way either. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that you reach your goals!
