rsshilli's Journal, 07 January 2011

I'm down 8 pounds now. That's historic for one week of dieting. I don't look any different but that's a good thing - hopefully the weight loss is viseral, although I know there's probably a lot of water loss in that. I'm drinking a lot of water, about 64 oz / day but I need to drink more. My water consumption at work isn't anywhere near high enough. Still, I'm happy now knowing that my diet is working.

If I loose this much next week I'll have increase my calorie intake since I don't want to lose more than 3 pounds a week. My wife (who has been skinny for over a year now) lost her gallbladder because her weight loss was too fast. That was no fun and I don't want to repeat something like that.

Loosing weight too fast is an awesome problem to have! :-)
267.0 lb Lost so far: 18.0 lb.    Still to go: 27.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

Oh wow about the gallbladder! I was reading an AMAZING diet journal (BenDoesLife.com, crazy motivating!), and he ended up having problems with his gallbladder during his process of losing 120+ pounds. He had to get it removed, but not before experiencing quite a few issues with it. After his first hospital visit about it, he was told that things like pizza and wings contributed to it acting up on him, which kept him away from both. But he did lose the weight fast... Thank you for that valuable piece of information! And also, WOOOOO-FREAKIN-HOOOOO TO YOU! 8 pounds means that you are WORKING for this! and it is WORKING for you! You are going to officially be my hero/motivator of the day!

*edit* "WOOOOO-FREAKIN-HOOOOO TO YOU"<-- is NOT sarcastic, even a lil bit! You didn't know it, but I did it in my excited typing :)

Ha ha. Thank you! And I love BenDoesLive - his blog is great. I first saw his youtube video about 6 months ago (which is amazing) and have been thinking about it ever since. I went back and dug it up yesterday just to motivate myself. He's my hero.
