Here are the facts:
1. The scale says I'm 170.5 lbs
2. My pants are still fitting the same (very loose) as when I was 166.5
3. I haven't been drinking a lot of water
4. I've been doing my running faithfully
5. Since the holidays have concluded I've pretty much been staying away from the sweets
6. I've added weight training since I've only been running

These are the facts! I have no idea what is going on with my body, I'm truly perplexed. The only possible answer is that I'm either gaining muscle which would add weight, I'm not drinking enough water so my body is retaining it or I've lost inches, but no weight since my pants are the same. C'mon we are talking 4 pounds!! I'm starting to wonder if I will EVER be able to stay out of the 170's, it's so upsetting. Is 160 so difficult to reach?!? Am I so old that I can't get to a weight that I was in during my early 30's??? I'm really starting to lose hope. I hate this! I admit that I was eating stuff that I shouldn't during the holidays in the way of cakes and cookies, but... Well, maybe there shouldn't be a but, maybe this is my punishment, maybe my body is giving me the middle finger.

Despite this tragedy that I seem to be going through I'm still happy about my pants fitting loosely. I'm still proud of myself for keeping up with my running.

Don't beat yourself up. Most of us fell of the wagon at Christmas time. Somehow when we get older our bodies resist losing weight. When I was younger weight came off alot faster. Maybe it's that our bodies have too good of a memory of our fat stores Lol. I don't know. Keep journaling your food and thoughts, drink lots of water, and keep up the good work exercising. You are probably adding alot of muscle which does weigh more than fat. Muscle weighs more but looks smaller. Keep on truckin'! Have a great day my friend!
