Don't worry, these daily fluctuations happen. It's likely that tomorrow a great deal of this weight will go down again. Never give too much importance to the result of just one day. If you stick to your correct limit of calories to lose weight, you are guaranteed to keep going down, not every day (because of these normal fluctuations) but like every 4 or 5 days you will see that tendency so always ignore a one day's increase in weight (because it's not even possible to pack that much weight in fat in one day). The most important thing is that you keep on it because results come little by little. If you notice that you are consistently going up in weight though, if the trend is up instead of down, that's different. In that case, you need to lower your daily calorie intake a bit (if/ when doing this, try lowering by some 100 or 200 calories and stick to that for a week at least to watch results). Don't give up because results are around the corner. The most important things in losing weight are taking is persistence and taking it easy. You're just starting to probe your needed daily calorie intake to lose weight. Until you find it, it's normal that you won't lower your weight every day :) But, looking at your weight history graph here at the right, it looks like you are on the right track. Just keep eating how much you were eating on the start of these days when your weight started to go down and you are almost definitely guaranteed to keep losing weight despite occasional fluctuations. It's the trend that matters not the spikes on the graph ;) Keep on it!

True thanks. I lost 20kg in the last 18months(baby weight) without counting calories just healthy eating and walking but then stalled at 55kg so i joined here to lose the rest! So will still weigh in daily but can't expect the rapid loss i used to have at the start!

You're welcome!:) Yeah, it's normal to stall at some point (the dreaded plateaus) since we usually eat the same. You only have to adjust your calorie intake, start eating less when that happens. Fatsecret is definitely valuable in that. The less calories you eat daily, the faster you will lose weight, that's guaranteed but also, the more likely you are to quit so, the best is to take things slowly and find the amount of calories that allows you to lose just enough that won't drive us crazy lol. Have you seen this website already? (see my journal if the address doesn't appear complete in here) http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calculators/calories-required/

Sorry for bad spelling on the phone again.

ahahah (the phone keyboard issue), no problem! :) I understand. I hope you get to look like you desire. If you don't, however, don't worry about losing a little more weight because, as long as you have a belly, that means that you have enough fat reserves. :)

The best thing is to check your body fat percentage to check if you are near the minimum limit (I'll post in my journal if it doesn't show here) http://tinyurl.com/pw73p5j

Just be careful because, where this table says "lean" others say "unhealthy" so it's somewhat subjective. But usually, professional athletes (depending on which sport), will always be in the blue area (that doesn't mean they're healthier because of that though)

it looks like tinyurl's are perfect for showing internet links on journal's comment sections on fatsecret, as they don't appear to be cut in the middle.

This is what I was talking about (notice how they added "low" below "lean" and, to the right, they have "healthy" instead of "low": http://tinyurl.com/netjq32 Sorry for so many comments lol

Yes i have body fat scales but they only say too lean if u have under the essential % of fat(not if ur an athlete) still not sure how accurate they are though in.measuring.

I understand. I haven't measured my body fat percentage in a long time. I'm waiting till my belly gets slightly smaller till I start lol. But I'm starting to realize that I really have to pack some muscle to look better, not just lose weight :P
