Herbie's Journal, 03 January 2009

Had another good day. Again, I was phase 1 up until dinner, then I had some home-made wheat bread with my soup. I'm not sure if I'll go strict phase 1 or not. I may continue with this for a week and see how it goes-- I guess it's a strict version of phase 2. I made this soup with zucchini (we have a *ton* of frozen, shredded zukes from our summer garden) and spinach and turkey breast, it was really yummy. I think it will be a staple for my diet in the next week or so.

Good exercise today, too. I rode my bike to the gym, had a good workout, then rode my bike home. In total, my exercise lasted about an hour (including the bike rides). I feel really good about that.

I call it a less strict phase 1 and I'm there with ya come Monday. I'll allow myself limited whole wheat bread, brown rice and grapefruit. Let me know how you're doing. I miss ya when you're not around so much.

Mmmm.. zucchini! I love that in soup. Great workout today! And healthy eating - no matter what phase you call it! :)
