SORRY! :-( At least you are not having to wear one of those big boots or even worse, two...  

flats that tie with tall sides???? where does one buy those???  

Awe... join my funny feet club, seriously, if you google the CMT that I have, you'll feel better when you see how awful my feet are! lol ;) I know, it sux butt. =S And I have always loveddddddd shoes, but weak ankles and high arches, wide toes and thin heals do not a nice dress shoe make. S'okay... boots are cool! =) xoxo 

i am limited to flats..sucks...i have about 90 pairs of heels and all styles and shapes...even boots have to be flats...i dont know where to buy them - i am going to have to research on the internet and figure it out... 

I used to love to wear heels, too, now, I wear these tie up shoes. WE used to call them granny shoes and now I have to wear them. SIGH! They do have some really pretty flats, now, Veggies. 

WHAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!? FOREVEER??? that would be a nightmare for me. hahaha. oh, sorry. i hope there is hope for you. lol  

Hey, you can never go wrong with some high-top Chuck Taylors! They're flat.. tie... have tall sides. Lol. Good luck! 

I'm so sorry, that does suck, I also have 50+ pairs of heals and I can't imagine not being able to wear them again. I hope you can find some cute flats out there that you like (O:

Ninety (90) pairs? Wow. You are a better (wo)man than I am. Wow. Ninety? Are you sure? Okay. That's a lot of shoes.  

That sounds so painful. (What happened to your foot, I mean). I can't wear heels. Comfort over cuteness anyday! For the most part. 

fake...i broke my ankle a little over a year ago...6 months ago they put a plate and 4 screws in it to hold it together...and now i find out i have a muscle and nerve that have seperated from the 3 middle toes and hence having to wear this orthodic...COBRA yes over 90 pairs...hubby made me count them the last time i brought home new shoes...he blew a gasket...now wait until he hears this...lol...i might send him a text message...i did find a couple of brands that make removable insoles in cute heeled shoes...they only run around 100-150 per pair...at that rate it will take me years to build back up...lol 

OH so sorry. Real bad news! You sound like a real shoe lover, as most woman are. I hope you find some shoes that you like. 

Veggies - I respect your love for pretty shoes. You know me. I am just "razzin'" ya! Everyone has something to love and collect. I am sitting in a spare bedroom with three bookcases filled with books -- books I never read. Take care of your footsies!  

i love the books also...belong to a book club...i knew you were messin with me...when i told hubby last night...he just made a face and walked out of the room...turned around walked back in and said "how long do you think you will be able to do this?...and do not get rid of your shoes now...I dont think you will be able to handle it...lol"...smart elec.. 

I'm so sorry to hear all this. I was going to make a horrible joke about your shoes and the president but I'll reserve that comment for when we talk. I do know however that if there is any way that you can at least heal your foot to the point of being able to lounge around your house in a fancy pair of high heels for one evening, it would be you who found a way. I bet you're reading up right now on ways to properly heal that foot! I'm thinking of ya and pulling for ya! 

I'm so sorry! I love shoes. I have always had a hard time finding them since my feet are small, I wear a size 2 in children's. Do they think there's any chance to fix your foot so you can wear your shoes again?  

it is something that really "never" heals...it gets better and goes away and then will return whenever...so i think i will buy a couple pairs of everyday dress shoes that i can wear to work and out for general generic stuff and keep my REALLY CUTE COOL SHOES for date nights and special occasions...

I agree, don't get rid of your shoes. I had some foot problems about 15 yrs ago... the doc had me buy those granny "sas" shoes. My feet still hurt, after injections, treatments and granny shoes...Then I met a body builder than had me doing exercises for my feet and I started feeling relief...now I have no foot problems at all, wear heels and all sorts of shoes...but I still follow the routine the body builder told me to do for my feet. You just don't know for sure what you might discover ahead that could help. Your case does sound serious and painful...but take care and wait it out, docs are discovering new ways of fixing things every day.
