Okay. I've decided that enough is enough. It's time to REALLY try.

This past monday through today (wednesday), I have been eating HORRIBLEY. And I didn't record anything in my diet calender.

Last week, basically Monday through....Saturday, I did really good. No snacking issues. But I didn't lose anything at all. But, the thing is, I know that I'm deffinately not eating enough veggies, and I'm not really eating any fruit....at all.

I've decided to start eating ONLY fruits and veggies as snacks. And I'm not cutting out carbs completely. That would be a very, very "stupid" thing to do. I'm still going to have some carbs for only breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just not with every meal. That was probably why I didn't lose anything. I eat too many carbs.

To make this easier to do, I have created a checklist. I will keep
it open on my computer and everyday I will check off what I ate.

1 cup of milk (with breakfast):
Banana (with breakfast):
Yogurt (with lunch):
String Cheese (home from school):
Cup or so of carrots (after string cheese, with some dip):
2 or so sticks of celery (after carrots, with some cream cheese):
Fruit cup (after celery):
Orange or 1 cup of fruit juice (after/with fruit cup):
1 cup of veggies with dinner:
Salad :
Apple (dessert):

This will obviously make it a lot easier to resist temptations and remember what to eat. I am not going to record any calories for abbout a week or so and see what happens. Hopefully this is the key for me to lose weight, AND to be healthy.

Ugh. It's so difficult being 14 and trying to lose weight. School is so hard and, well, annoying. And on top of that stress, there's the constant stress of fitting in and being "skinny". And, honestly, I just want to be a normal weight. Not skinny. I'll be happy just to be healthy. Anyways, it really stinks having to worry about getting good grades and eating right. All of my friends can eat cookies, ice-cream, and stinkin' tator-tots for lunch, and not gain an OUNCE. I'm complaining too much lately. Ha.

Hey there! I'm 16 and I also get what you mean! I'm fat and not that smart XD. There you go. Haha. A few tips: if you're not eating veggies and not that many carbs and no snacking issue...what the hell are you eating? Remember that you need all sorts of nutrients. The best way is to eliminate all carbs from dinner so that your stomach will feel cleaner in the morning. We dont' need carbs because we will definitely get it through some other way. Further more, remember that dairy protects are HIGH in calories and HIGH in fat. Try to avoid adding things to your veggies (like creamcheese or whatever). Learn to enjoy the taste of vegetables. If you don't like, eat it unconsciously(aka, while studying, just eat while you are doing that, most likely you won't realize how much you eat or what you're eating, but then you can limit yourself to a bowl or something). PLEASE keep track of what you eat everyday and how much exercise (including deskwork and stuff) so that you can tell how much you itnake and WHY you're not losing weight. There is a reason and usually that's a person's honesty when filling out these type of things. Of course, don't RESTRICT yourself from cookies and ice creams and crap. Have some, but LIMIT yourself! GOOD LUCK DIETING!

yeah i guess i should still record what i eat. it's such a pain to do though =P oh and for dairy.... im only eating fat free 80 calorie yogurts and part skim string cheese. oh and fat free milk. so theyre not really too high in fat/calories.... and i CANT eat plain veggies. lets just say i gag very, very easily. and fruit and raw veggies happen to trigger that damn gag reflex. lol. thanks for the advice. good luck to u.
