Week one down. 6.5 pounds down. I feel pretty good about that. Some notes: a glass of wine or a spirit with sugar free tonic is OK for this diet. More than one and the weight loss didn't happen. I need to be careful on the weekends when I like to have a couple of drinks and limit myself. Week nights no alcohol it works like a charm.

Also, sometimes, it's difficult to get all the calories in without supplementing with extra fat which seems so counter intuitive. This is definitely a new way to live.

Now I'm going to weigh myself daily but only track weekly so the net weight is what I'm interested in. Here's to continued success in week two!

On weekends, I have a shot or two of vodka...no mixer. But you're absolutely right...have to behave during the week..and besides a couple of shots give me much more of a "buzz" than they used to with all of those carbs and sugars in my system...now the alcohol doesn't have to compete, it just goes to the front of the line!!
