It is good to have a day to catch up on rest. My one day off has been spent mostly looking at the back of my eye lids.

I have had a really good day. My superior came in early this morning and we were able to talk face to face for the first time in about 6 weeks. She was amazed at how I looked. She went on to tell me I looked so good, my complexion and even my hair. She wanted to know exactly what I was doing. Funny how some people think there is a pill, quick secret, a certain food or exercise that you do and then "hocus pocus" your losing weight. I don't think another person, unless they have traveled this road of weight loss, would really understand the will power, determination, education and sacrifices one makes to achieve. How it is a complete, total life style change. But her compliments were wonderful and I felt so good. Everyone at work is starting to give me second, third looks. It is funny how they don't say a thing but they are wondering whats different about me. I guess it is hard for someone to ask "Are you losing weight?" When I asked the respiratory therapist "what" when he was giving me those looks, he became all tongued tied and did not know what to say. It was really kind of cute.

I have been craving pizza and decided to try a self thought healthy version. I went and bought Arnold's Sandwich thins, placed some pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, turkey sausage crumbles, peppers and onions on it and baked it in the oven. It was so delicious! And it satisfied my cravings. I really enjoy taking a food thought and re-making a healthy version of it. It is so fun.

My husband made Sheppard's pie and a chocolate pie for dessert. We invited my parents over and they all had that and I ate my healthy pizza. I did have 1/8 of the pie. Not the best food choice but I had the calories for it and I wanted it. The old me would of ate half the pie. I love that I can have something I love and practice portion control and stay within my calories for the day. SUCCESS!!

I usually inspect my eyelids for cracks around 5:00pm... right before I begin making dinner. Recharges my battery. It might take more of a loss before anyone is bold enough to say anything and it will be something like, "damn, you've lost weight". Talk about giving you that extra push to stay with the plan. It will. Have a good week.

Everybody is going to think you have a secret miracle answer to the 'how did you lose the weight' question. I actually had a family member pull me aside and demand to know what supplements I was taking. Nobody wants to hear hard work and dedication. lol You're right though, unless you've done it I don't think anybody could really understand the drastic changes that we've made and how hard we have worked to get results. You are on fire, and I'm so glad you got compliments!! It's always nice to hear. Don't be surprised if a lot of people don't bombard you with positive comments regarding your loss. They are keeping it to themselves for one of two reasons. The first being that they don't want to be rude. Weight is a touchy subject and nobody wants to offend. I have gotten a lot more eye brow raises than I have words from people, and I know it's because they don't want to be like, oh you were so fat but now you look awesome lol. The second is that they are 'haters'. They are now jealous of your ability to drop the pounds, and they will never tell you how great you look. I have plenty of both types in my life lol. My sister in law is probably my biggest 'hater' because she has been trying and failing forever to lose weight. Oh well. I'm glad you got to eat your pie and and stay in your calories. It's an awesome feeling when you're finally in control and successful. This is a lifestyle change, and you're doing it 100% right. :-)

Yowza! You are ROCKIN it. Big time! Good thing your SIL is not a big "hater"but is instead your biggest fan. Love you Nd keep up the hard work.you deserve this and so much more. Be careful out there. You are getting to the point where those "haters" will start to become sabotagers. Love you. D

Yolanda... I'm either asked, did you did bariatric or the band. Nieces did the bariatric and their mother did the band. The girls lost, one regained and had to go on a diet---OMG!!! to lose what she gained and mama doesn't look as if she's lost anything. Ticks me off. People are too lazy anymore to do it the healthy way.

It's kind of funny you mention that because shortly after I finally publically announced my fifty pound loss of facebook my sister in law made an appointment to meet with a bariatric surgeon. I feel the same as you in that respect. If you can't work it off how do you expect to maintain it. On top of that you would be left with next to no muscle tone. But that's just my opinion ;-)
