Annabelle3117's Journal, 27 October 2013

Eh, it's been a weekend. I've had better, I've had worse. Supposed to to the gym today at noon. My workout buddy blew me off. lmao This always happens a couple workouts in. I don't have any faith in my 'friends', not because I'm a dick but because I know them. It's all good, I'll go alone.

My weight is not budging. I had a lengthy conversation with my good friend Wayne about 'business', and it got me thinking this has a lot to do with it. In the last seven days I've only taken care of business once. This is not the norm for me, not even close. So does anybody know anything about healthy cleanses that might do the trick for me? I eat tons of fiber with almost every meal, I don't know what the deal is. I beg of you, help! Sorry If that was TMI for some people, I'm just a TMI kinda girl.

I hope everyone enjoys their last day of rest (moms and wives everywhere burst into laughter). Don't work too hard ;-)

I kind of have the same problem regarding my "business" -- try Miralax in the morning with your coffee (or anything else). It has no taste at all, dissolves in any liquid and WORKS. It may take a couple of days, but I use it when the days in between get too long. Regarding depending on your friends to come with you to work out -- don't. You can do this on your own. You will be glad you went. Good luck!

Ok, so no one likes them but does your diet allow prunes? Prune juice works wonders but I'm pretty sure it's higher in calories. If you add a few prunes with your morning meal this may help. I found the hot lemon water and walking helped me, and a friend of mine used teas to help her. Here is a link for teas that help with constipation:http://www.enaturalhealing.com/best-tea-for-constipation-relief-top-10-options/ Just make sure you don't use the Senna tea all of the time or else your body wont do it on it's own anymore:)(Just like laxatives)

yeah. I know the feeling. My walking buddy had bronchitis and it turn out he had also an inflammation of the heart outer membrane. He was unable to do any activity last week and I kind of stopped walking for 3 days until I decided that I should continue my exercise not matter what. So, It is up to me to work out or use my friends' inability/unavailability as an excuse to blow my "new life style". Speaking about weight not budging. There are days where I know I am doing every thing right (Few calories IN, Lots of calories out) and my weight would not budge or even go up. And suddenly, boom, it is gone!!! It has to do with what I ate and the SODIUM (salt) content. Any thing like: a diet soda (Sodium benzoate), pickles, canned foods with lots of salt, regular white cheese (salt content not reduced) would cause water retention. Even some spicy foods (Sausage, bacon) would do the same. So, don't worry about it. You do what you have to do and the scale WILL follow.

Sorry your workout buddy let you down and as far as cleanses, I don't have a clue. Next month I have to go in for a colonoscopy and I'm pretty sure I'll know a whole lot more about cleansing then.

Do you want the list of the over the counter stuff that my hubby is supposed to take before he goes in for her colonoscopy? That is supposed to clean everything out! Otherwise try drinking juices. That often will jump start movement.

How about a colon cleanse? I've never done it, but many people swear by it.

I drink Apple Cider Vinegar. The organic unfiltered non-pasteurised variety. I have never been more regular :)

Thanks K, but I think I'll pass on that lol. I used to work for a gastroenterologist and I know those colon preps are no joke! I'm going to start with fiber supplements and maybe some prunes, If that doesn't work I'll go down the list lol.

Yolanda, I have a problem going all the time. I have tried everything there is I think and nothing worked. I tried the miralax, drinking a bottle of magnesiom sulfate (I think) that is used for colonoscopies, fibre tablets, Flax seed meal and chia seeds on salads as well as MIMs... Plenty of verggy fibre.... laxatives... I even bought the colon clense system as seen on TV. nothing works for me. Finally, I purchased something called the cleaner at GNC. It has pills for 14 days but suggests a 7 day clense. Then you have to take probiotics... That stuff worked for me. It took a couple of days because I was in really bad shape but it startef to work and did wonders.... The other thing that often helps is to eat nuts. Almonds and peanuts have an oil in them that will often make people go... Just so you know - this is something that has been a problem for me for years and even when I get started going more regularly - it always comes back. I now pay attention to the nuber of days and if I don't go in 4 days - I take a laxative ... I don't like them and would prefer something more natural but - I think it is worse to have all that waste build up. That can't be good for you....
