My diet has been craaaaap these past couple of days! Whenever there is an event at my fiancé’s workplace they always end up throwing away sooooo much food that he has begun asking them if he could take stuff home. They always say, “Yeah we were just going to throw it away.” In my head I’m like, “Yey; I don’t have to cook! But I’m going to be over on calories for the day... Oh well. :P”

Let’s see Tuesday was pitas, Wednesday was pizza, and Thursday was stir-fried veggies, beef, and chicken-no rice though! I wonder if there will be any leftovers tonight… lol Not that it matters I am going to a Halloween Party at a friend’s house. She said she was going to try and make healthy treats, because almost everyone there is trying to lose weight.

Since I wanted to bring something over, and not feel like a mooch, I made two batches of Crispy Rice Treats. One had candy corn mixed in and one was supposed to be candy corn shaped… The candy corn mix-ins were easy enough and came out great! The candy corn shaped treats… not so much…

I didn’t have enough pots to melt three different batches of marshmallow and butter to make the different colors. So I decided to melt the butter and marshmallows in one pot, then spoon it into different bowls, color them, then mix in the crispy rice. Great idea right? …Not so much… When I added the crispy rice it became like glue and was impossible to mix! So what’s a girl to do? Eat all the failures! They tasted yummy (I ate more than half the batch...), but I did come up with a solution! Melt the butter and marshmallows in the microwave in separate bowls! That has to work… right? If not, I’ll be forced to eat the failures again… :P
