Okay, here I am after dinner and an earlier sleep. I was going to finish off the pasta and Boca veggie fake meat bits but remembered that I was doing this. And I stopped. Got out pencil and paper and figured out how much I'd eaten. And I stopped. And I've recorded it. And now I'm done. For the day. Good. But I also wanted to record that I am recovering from a belly bug that hit me two nights ago. Still have the sore stomach, but the headache's gone, and apparently I wanted to eat, so...The last 2 days I've had nothing but broth, white toast, a banana, some applesauce, an occasional slice of cheese (not sure if that was too good for the old gut), so now I'm getting well and I want to capitalize on my having lost 8 to 10 pounds (depending on when I weigh myself) over the last week. Partially through a lot of walking, I guess, and most definitely from the stomach bug of 2 nights ago. Sheesh! That was a doozy. Oh, and also, future self (for I'm writing to you, you know:)) I am still recovering from my mid-summer lumbar laminectomy. And looking after Mum, who will be going into hospital Nov. 12 for a shoulder replacement. So, in other words, I need to remember to count calories, look after myself, not do too much, rest when I can, and get completely well. Losing this 50 or so pounds will be great. I can do it. I'm ready.
