I was bad yesterday. I just got to the point that I did not care. I don't enjoy being like that. But sometimes, my emotions overwhelm me and it seems that the way I express them is to eat and not give a damn. Still - I did not binge on sweets. I had fried chicken and steak and peanut butter. I wanted sweets but did not want to do that to myself so I ate things that were 'almost' OK.

I did go to Zumba last night. Did not do much though... My friend - the instructor was in a mood and there was only 1 more person (total of 3) at class. She had to leave half way through so.... some movement but not a great deal. Oh well..... it fit with my mood and my day.

Because I did not go crazy with food yesterday - I am not hungry today and will be back on track.... As long as my bad days are little blips in the road I don't really care. It would be nice if I was losing weight and could see a trend line that at least was downward sloping but since I am not - I just have to assume all is OK. I am honestly getting really sick of this. But Oh well.... this too shall pass

Aww dang. Hang in there and don't beat yourself up. You say you dont care, but I think you do care because you confessed in your post instead of hiding it. And like you said, what you ate wasn't really all that bad. And the fact that you got up off your booty and went to the zumba class, however lacking you thought it might have been, was still waaaaayyy better than sitting at home and watching tv! :)

Thanks Brent. You are so encouraging :) I appreciate the support. I think I got the I don't cares from frustration over this WOE and the lack of weight loss that I have been seeing - OK the weight gain... I had asked for help in a post and got some responses. I appreciate what was said but I think it was not what I wanted to hear. I know that I have a slow metabolism and never lose very quickly. I also know that I tweak the diet in a few places because - well it is supposed to be a lifetime change and I have to make the change workable.... So I have some steaksauce with my steak - I don't have lots of it. This may be gross but I mix a little steak sauce with mayo and it flavors the mayo and makes a good sauce. I also have some peanut butter some nights - not sure why I do it... maybe it is the rebel in me :) Anyway - I think I was hoping for a majic pill or something. I did not get one. But such is life - I know this will work eventually.

It will work for you! Just gotta stick with it and dont beat yourself up. Everyone wants to lose weight quick, but everyone is different so it doesnt happen at the same rate for everyone. I know you know that already though! Wait a minute! I eat peanut butter many evenings??? Its my replacement for ice cream and cake and all the other sweets that I miss. What I found interesting is that PB tastes so sweet to me now. When I was eating a lot of sugar, it never tasted sweet. And the mayo / steak sauce mixture sounds really good actually. I was the weird one who put mayo on my fries! I love the stuff!

oh and one more thing, I peeked at your foods and the Duke's Mayo that I have at the house does indeed have carbs. The entry in your diary says no carbs. I think 2-3 carbs per serving. I know Kraft Mayo has no carbs. It's not as flavorful as Dukes, but every little bit helps. I actually noticed this with a lot of things on fatsecret. I try to check the label and compare the first time I enter something to make sure it was in put into fatsecret correctly.

I love mayo on my fries!!! Something must be up with your Dukes. Is it Dukes Light? Mine is 100 calories perserving (1 Tbs is a serviing) and 0 carbs. I do know that the light (which is in a jar with a blue label) has some carbs. But this one - yellow top yellow and black label has none. And yes, apparently our peanut butter splurges are no nos. I actually knew that but I count the carbs and don't really care... As I said, I am on this for life - I actually have been on it for probably 10 years but fall off the wagon occasionally for way too long - as in months. When you are on it for life - it is important to make choices that you can live with. To me - peanut butter rather than a sugary or salty treat is a positive choice.

Now I miss fries even more! :( LOL Down here in Texas Dukes mayo isn’t really popular. It’s mostly Hellman’s and Kraft Mayo. We had a coupon of free Dukes so we picked it up. I had never even heard of that brand until then. The one we got is in a squeeze bottle with a blue label. Maybe it is light, ill have to check when I get home, but I do remember that it did have carbs. Maybe it’s different for the Texas market? I'm curious now. I do refuse to research the peanut butter issue. I'm still gonna have it when I crave sweets. I have been able to lose weight and stay in ketosis while eating probably 10 TBS per week so it can’t be that bad. I do want to look into getting some "natural" PB that might have less sugar once this tub of regular PB is gone. Have a great day!

Yep - if it has a light blue label it is light. I remember shopping for Dukes in Texas... I would have famnily bring it to me from Alabama :) But I did end up finding it - can't remember which store it was...

I finally looked at the Dukes mayo we have at home, its called "Duke's Whipped Salad Dressing". I don’t know if that’s the same stuff yall have up there, but that’s what we got for free with the coupon. Needless to say, it’s off my food list now because of the carbs and sugar. Back to good ol Kraft Mayo!

The real Dukes Mayo is much better than Kraft. Keep looking for it. As I said, it has a yellow top and a yellow and black label. It is yummy and worth importing if you have to :)

I'll for sure keep an eye out for it. I live in a small town but our HEB grocery store is pretty good so they may have it. I just never really paid any attention. I always grabbed what I was familiar with and moved along. A great mayo is downright necessary on a low carb diet. Thanks!
