Okay, this seems weird; a question for the 'put-it-together' cooks. I made this entry for dinner: 3 cups Chow Mein or Chop Suey with Noodles and these are the figures it threw at me: 69.50 10.6 11.09 82.06 61.38 1221. 1221 is what concerns me (the calorie count). What I did was make a dinner mishmash to use up some Japanese or Korean noodles I had; I bought one can each of chop suey vegetables, golden mushrooms, sliced water chestnuts, stir fry-ready baby corn and a bag of peanuts to make it a bit like the pad thai peanut dishes. I drained the excess liquid out of the cans and nuked it, then stirred in a couple tablespoons each of two different off-the-shelf oriental sauces + a teaspoon of soy sauce + shook in maybe a 1/8 cup of peanuts (unsalted). The noodles were boiled for three minutes in salted water, drained and partially rinsed. To serve in bowls I put a tong-ful of noodles in (1.5 c) and topped it with the veggie mix (1-1.25 c)[eyeball measurements]. I used a standard entry to put in my meal and am worried about the figures it spit out. Now I'm left worrying if I gave myself too many calories by using the standard entry or if it really did contain that much.
