Skelebone's Journal, 09 October 2013

A bit shocked, but not surprised (if that makes sense) to get my Fitness Assessment from the gym yesterday. My stomach girth has spiked slightly over into the obese category; my diastolic BP is too high; my BMI is too high - all cautionary levels.

I am tired of feeling fat & dumpy and I'm nervous about my health - especially my stomach issues as of late. GERD sucks! If that's all it is. I don't feel supported by my doctor to help me get healthy. It's all on me.

I don't have the money to pay someone else to kick my attitude butt in gear. I KNOW IT'S ALL UP TO ME!!!! AND, I'M READY TO KICK MY OWN BUTT INTO GEAR!!!! Re-joined the gym - no more excuses to not go 'cause I don't feel like it, but sticking to an actual schedule which I want to keep track of on this site. And, my diet. Really inform myself of what I'm actually eating instead of mindlessly shoving what tastes good at the time into my pie hole and then complaining because I'm not losing any weight.

I stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol because it's too upsetting to my stomach. Helped a bit, but still not enough. Confused about all the information out there on what's healthy and not healthy to eat. Cut out grains? Geez. Cut out sugar altogether? Double geez. Meat or not meat? Geez. Beats me.

Anywhoo, I'm more than ready and committed to give my health my full attention and highest priority! Yahoo!!!!
