Doing well. It has been a long road to get so close to my goal weight. It hasn't been easy. Eating the right foods on any diet will make one lose weight. I'm tired of hearing all of my friends and acquaintances say they need sugar, etc. and see all the unhealthy eating. I was there before and part of it. We don't need dessert for example. I always pass on it, except on holidays. Soon regular exercise will be part of my regimen once the allergies stop. I hope they end soon. I'm allergic to indoor and outdoor stuff. I refuse to get needle shots for three years - so I'm hoping the over-the-counter meds help. Everyone have a great weekend - happy dieting!!! :) P.S. I went out last weekend somewhere I DID NOT want to go to. They have sucky - yes that's the word - salads there and it was a diner. So I ordered a club sandwich and fries and gave away the fries. My dad is very jealous I've lost weight as he's obese now and said I ate too much - ha ha - when he ate a plateful of high-calorie food - any suggestions about what to do when you go to a diner and all the food is like high-carb gravy sludge? :) P.S.S. I'm not being judgmental of my overweight friends, etc. but they're saying oftentimes they're dieting and they're not. I guess I just have to stop identifying with other people's issues as I can't control anyone else's behavioral patterns. Each of us can barely control our own. Take care everyone. Remember a diet is a one day at a time deal. Then it is suddenly months of success and you are thin! I did it all of you can too. One day at a time - you all can do it this is the place to start. Get on here and journal if you feel like pigging out and can't get to the gym or go for a walk, etc. !!! We're so lucky we have this site!!! :)

you like so many have chosen to change your lifestyle, both in eating habits an exercising to burn off the calories you take in each day..like you i look at people i see thru the day an wonder why people allow themselves to keep eating all the grease, caffeene, and the sugar...so much of it in todays society and no one seems to care enough to try an change it so everyone gets healthier...healthier people in this world would be a great thing...my 2 cents worth...have a great day!!!

i guess you have to open your eyes to see...what changing your lifestyle for the better brings to you...and most people would rather stay in the habit of eating wrong and not exercising...because habits are hard to break...

Thanks loosinisfun - I'm just going to start seriously exercising - so one can lose weight without exercising diligently. I did it. If one is immobile or handicapped they can lose, I am finally getting less pain where I feel I can join a gym in the next month hopefully. Atkins is not all grease either as people mistakenly think either. I eat lean meats, fish and low carb vegetables. I haven't given up caffeine yet though. I am being less judgmental than when I wrote this post - friends say they don't care how they look. I'm looking for a woman and I think it'll be easier now than if I was obese - seventy pounds heavier like I used to be. The women contacting me on the dating sites want to see a picture first,and I'll probably get one up on Thursday, so I'm glad I'm putting my best foot forward and in a year or two my body will be toned up from going to the gym. Hope you're doing well!!! :)
