Quarterly meeting at work. They served chocolate chip cookies. A downfall of mine, especially when the cafeteria baked them just an hour before. Then I forgot about the excess and did not compensate for dinner.

I've noticed something. While it is true that exercise really doesn't burn off many calories (one chocolate chip cookie requires 45 minutes of running or two hours of cycling at a gentle pace), having done some exercise usually curbs my tendency to eat at night.

Exercise. It's just just about the calorie burn.

My body forgives me for yesterday's 163% evidently - same weight this morning as yesterday.

If I can be 166.8 on a day after the 163%, then my "set weight" has probably actually settled into the 165 range, a new low.

A few days at 100% should tell me my body's new preferred weight.
166.8 lb Lost so far: 20.2 lb.    Still to go: 11.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

Well exercise can burn a lot of calories but it depends on what you do, how hard you workout, the duration and your current weight. Some days I can burn 300 and others 800. Most people don't have time, but any is better than none.
