well, i didnt loose any weight again. i actually gained 0.4 lb. so im changing what i do diet wise.
instead of fat being the main type of intake. im making it raw fruit and veg. with a couple days of fasting a week.

Hi. I have not visited with you before and I apologize if I am sticking my nose where it does not belong.... I took a look at your food log and profile. It says you are on Atkins. I don't know how long you have been on Atkins or what stage you are in but I do know that apples are not on the plan - especially apple juice which I saw you had for breakfast on the day I glanced at. I would suggest you go back and re-read the Atkins books so you will understand the chemical nature of the diet. Remove the apple juice from your meal plans. Juice like that is bad for you because it is a concentrated form of the sugars and none of the fiber. If you think you are on the Atkins diet and are not losing weight - you are kidding yourself and not being fair to the Atkins WOE. Atkins is not for everyone. If you want to be low carb only there are other plans that might allow you more freedom with your menu. The Primal Blueprint or Southbeach might be more to your liking. For me, THe grok mentality of the Primal blueprint is very appealing and logical. I just can't lose weight on that plan. You may be a different story :) I would ask that you consider changing your diet plan here on FS so it will not be confusing for those of us who periodically troll through and try to address 'issues' that people post in their journals. Again, I apologize if I have stepped over the line. I just know how disheartning it is to either lose slowly or see a gain when you think you have been following your WOE.

yea, i tried changing that. im not doing Atkins. but i guess the sight didnt fix it.

and also the sugar free thing. i must of clicked on the wrong challenge. the one i thought i joined was no refined sugar. with fruit aloud.

:) So out of curiosity - what plan are you following or are you following your own method? I THINK that regardless of the plan you choose, the juice is probably not wise. From the little that I know, most nutritionists etc will tell you that if you need the taste - eat the fruit not the juice because the fruit has all the fibers in it and the chewing sensation allows your body the time to know it is full etc.

No doubt - fruit is good for you. I even include strawberries and blueberries in my WOE when I am not desperate to lose weight. For me, they tend to cause me to crave sugar so right now, I have eliminated them totally

i will be eating mostly raw fruit and veg. plenty of chewing involved there. i've done this before and lost a pound a day, everyday that i did it. this time i am going to allow some other foods. high fat, low carb, unrefined foods (stuff you find on atkins). and i am also going to do 2 24 hour fasts a week. i feel like this is better diet for me considering i hate meat. and i dont want to eat it. atkins is very hard without that as a staple. i can stomach it from time to time, but i found very quickly i cannot eat it all the time. i really like what Dr. Jason Fung has to say about diet. and his way is like this. high fruit/high veg/high fat/ no refined carb or foods. with fasting. you may find him interesting. he goes into depth on the "why".

i understand your thoughts. my sister feels the same way. but i cant handle not having fruit. it has amazing nutrition. it hydrating. and it was placed on this earth for us. anyway i hope you can watch those lectures.

Good luck to you! A pound a day is amazing. If I get a pound a week I am thrilled. I will try to watch the lectures. i am sure they are facinating. I really enjoy all that type of stuff. And even when they say totally opposite things - I think they are all true. I just believe that everyones body is diffierent and what works for one does not work for another. I finally figured out what works for me and I stick with it as best as I can. :)
