Glad you're feeling better. If you truly want to come to the USA or say, the United Kingdom to someplace like England it may take time. Go to where immigration is for the USA, your English is very good. The tests America has to get licensed can be fairly tough, though I think they're better and make more sense than they did decades ago. You will have a good life there as a doctor, in America you will be wealthy. I went to one dentist office that was for low-income people and someone mentioned how the dentists or doctors as they really are were almost all foreign-born there, I think they knew a dentist's wife, and this person told me all the dentists were very well-off. Doctors can make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year depending on their specialty. A friend from the past had an uncle who was a heart surgeon in the Midwest twentysomething years ago. The doctor he told me - his uncle - had so much money he bought a bureau or dresser to keep his socks heated - he got to the point where he had so much money he did not know what to do with it. This friend and his wife I last heard lived in Washington D.C. - his wife is from Chile from a wealthy banking family - a mutual friend told me they were there after living in Florida and then going to Chile for some time. It IS possible to move if you can leave your country behind. You have so many options with a medical doctor's degree...

Glenn, thanks for your comment. But medical degree is not enough.I need to pass USMLE which is license exam for doctors and has three parts and of course a long procedure.I did good in IELTS which is english test for foreigners and got 8 out of 10 in academic type test.I'm a practicing surgeon in Bangladesh and looking to improve my career further and want to go for superspeciality training.I ve been told that going to USA would be a career suicide in the sense,I can be a general practitioner at best there.Same about canada. So I applied for immigration to Australia about one year back and the process is very slow. But australian medical board approves my british MRCS degree. So I can join as a consultant or a registrar of surgery. So I'm waiting for this.

The Next Number I read your profile.I understand you fully, since we are operating this kind of cases very often in our hospital.I'm very impressed to see your recovery and must say you are one of few lucky people.I'm not that much upbeat...Just trying to cope...Sometimes I can control myself but most of the time I'm thinking of all sad things and can't concentrate on studying for upcoming exams...Please pray for me.

Not only was NN lucky, she made some big strides in changing her habits that were contributing to stress and cancer. Mind over matter is very powerful and she is setting an example and is a huge light in this world. TOWANDA!!!!!!!

Good luck going to Australia, it will probably work out well. I understand being a general practioner in the USA is not making much money. Yes, the medical board tests are difficult here most likely. Australia has two very large cities - Sydney and Melbourne - and I heard Melbourne has a large foreign population, I learned that from watching the tennis matches of the Australian Open that take place in January there - when it is summertime in Australia...

Hi Lotus! Just stopped by to say that I'm glad that you are doing well. Depression doesn't play fair. I am praying that you have great days. However, if you aren't having a great day we are here for you on those days too. Sometimes people don't know what to say when someone is really down. I loved a previous post that said to give yourself a hug. If your friends on FatSecret could hug you we would all be there to give you a great big one. Just incase you need one right now here are a few extras. 000 = three hugs. We Can Do It With God's Help!!!!!!
