Good morning!

Yesterday went WAY better than Tuesday, and today's outlook is great too!

Yesterday, I stayed well within my calories, 800 to go at the end of the day, had all my protein and then some, and got a nice percentage of my calories from fat, about 35%. It's exactly where I'd like to be.

The result today was clear. Pretty much all my gain from Tuesday's mess-up is gone, and I am back down in the low 82's. Nice.

It was easy, too. I had a nice, large lunch. I had a protein shake and a an afternoon fruit, and dinner. That's all.

The main difference from some of the other days was - I think - that I had a hearty lunch. Leftover Shepherd's Pie. Not bad at all. :) I love that I can now have these relatively calorie heavy dishes without it damaging anything. Actually, I NEED calorie heavy to reach my goals.

This makes lunch interesting in a way. You see, it's NOT calorie heavy at all.

Since Wife and I had dinner out yesterday, we have no lunch. No leftovers.

The food was pretty heavy last night - lots of meat, fried potatoes, tzaziki - we both felt like a salad for lunch would be nice. I'll be adding a can of tuna to mine, to get some meat and protein, and of course some flavor.

However, I can't say that it's a heavy meal at all.

I wonder how this will affect my hunger throughout the day? We'll see.

...

It is of course Thursday. Cake Day.

Wife is making layer cakes today, and I will need to simply skip them. Those are NOT for me today, I think.

I have my protein shake that I can have at that time, and it'll fit me just fine. Other than that, I have a huge back of fruit in the fridge, and I can go nuts in that as much as I'd like if needed.

Dinner will be more leftover Shepherd's Pie, and a quick calculation of today's meals will give me an "allowance" of further 1300 calories that I could spend on anything I'd like - but I don't want to fall into the sugar trap. Don't want it, don't need it, won't have it.

...

This morning has been busy and super active.

The gym I work/work out at has expanded their opening hours, starting this week. They are now open every morning from 7 AM.

I have made a deal with the owner that I will go open at 7 AM every now and then, and that I don't need to work, but can just work out. Then he'll be there before 8 AM so I can go to work.

The thing is that he needs to drop kids off in kindergarten and other family stuff on those days. I'll be happy to help. I actually can get paid to work out! :)

So anyways, today was the first of those days. Of course, today is not my workout day, so I just went and opened the gym, and I did 30 minutes elliptical, low impact. Just what equals walking. Add this to my 5 kilometers of walking before going to the gym, and I had reached my 8 kilometers/10,000 steps daily goal at 7:18 AM today. Not bad in a morning's work! Everything else I do is just extra icing on the cake.

This of course - again - makes it a little more important that I maybe eat some more today. I don't think I'll get around to it though.

Right now I am at work. I will be here until 4:45 PM. Then it's straight back to the gym to work there, until 9:00 PM.

My feeding window closes at 7:00 PM. I have no more foods that I should want to eat. I have no real food other than fruit. I don't think I'll be hungry for anything.

So, today will just have to go as today goes. At least my worry is whether I will eat ENOUGH and not that I risk eating TOO MUCH.

Heck, I could munch a whole liter of ice cream and not do any calorie damamge! LOL. Of course, I won't. I gotta do better than that.

...

Work today is nice and quiet. I have one interview, it's a fairly easy one I think, and it's in one hour. Then the rest of the day is smooth sailing. Not bad.

...

I have a nutrition package coming in the mail here at work today. I'm excited to get it.

I order a bunch of stuff, protein bars and shakes, and other things, for my class every now and then.

By doing large orders, I get freebies from the company - t-shirts and other things - so I get a little for the effort of ordering for my clients.

I took the liberty (for myself) to order some extra high quality protein bars. Just a few, to try them out.

Supposedly, they are much more of a meal than a treat, and should be a little different from what I'm used to. I am curious if these are better for me, in terms of them NOT feeling like chocolate and that hopefully they won't awaken the carb monster.

I'm not sure if today is the day to try them, though. I will evaluate that when they get here, and if I find a good time for it. Maybe when everyone else is having cake? I dunno...

So, last nigth Jack the Drummer and I went to see the little "venue" that we're gonna rock on the 28th. It looks like the audience, the place and the band will be a perfect match.

It's a biker party, but no hardcore people. These are Harley Davidson enthusiasts, average age is 45-50 years, and nobody causes any trouble. at least so we are told. :) They love hard rockin' music, and it better be loud. I think we can do that. LOL. I can't wait to do this!

The only downside to it is that there probably won't be a video recording of the show. They talked a little about that these guys don't really want to be filmed in a private sphere, which I can understand. Many have public jobs and don't really want to share the "biker side" of things and have it mixed with their every day jobs. Fair enough. It's THEIR party. We're just there for fun, and to get our footing on playing these songs in front of an audience.

Still, there will definitely be audio recordings, and these we can share as much as we'd like. It's gonna be good fun.

...

Today, I'm thankful for:
- Opening the gym - easy work.
- Morning coffee!
- Wife!
- A long, but fun day ahead.

Happy Thursday! Life is good!

LOL.. whenever I see a line of Harleys parked I always know its a building full of doctors & lawyers - they aren't fooling anyone :-) will be looking for a review on the protein bars ... as I would like to find a protein dense supplement that isnt sugar packed ... brave you connecting them with cake day...

Meh. Today I have no urge for cake at all. I think a LOT of that is a mindset thing. Today is just not cake day in my head. I'll go take a break, bring my bar (if the mail man would PLEASE be here soon to deliver them) and have some coffee with it. If it doesn't arrive on time, I'll simply skip the bar, have a protein drink instead (as I need to proteins one way or another) and go with that instead.

Mission accomplished. Made it though cake break with no cake. No protein bars either, but a little protein drink. Upside is that I saved about 100 cals. :)

Yeah to be able to afford to own a Harley you better have a pretty good paying job. Funny that they don't want to be known as a "biker".

...and trust me, having them imported to Denmark, and adding about 200% in taxes and fees (not kidding!) doesn't exactly make 'em cheaper. :)

Too bad about the video. Perhaps you could just do the guys playing. Not really interested in the bikers. Just the bikes. We had a Sportster. Nice, but had to get a "king/queen" seat as they were horribly uncomfortable back then. Wow on taxes and fees.
