The bad news . . . I'm only losing a pound a week. The good news . . . I'm losing a pound a week. The bad news . . . I will only be down to 208 lbs. for next June's camping event. The good news . . . I won't be 275 lbs. or larger for next June's camping event. I wish it was coming off faster, but I am determined to do this healthily, and it took Kate two years. I have come to grips with the fact that it is going to take me at least two years. Now I just have to remember how small I felt the last time I was 205 lbs. back in 1989. I had just lost 70 lbs. (my husband had left. I was totally traumatized and I just couldn't eat) and I felt positively svelte at 205.

You are making excellent progress. You really don't want it to come off any faster than a pound a week. It's not safe to lose too quickly, and you run more risk of saggy skin that way. This contest is not about being the biggest loser - it's about being the best loser.

Those 2 years will fly by. :) I wish I had been doing sit-ups every day from the point where I first signed on here at FS. Fast-forward 5 months, and I probably would've had a hint of abs under my flab by now. A little progress every day, every week... it all adds up and I guess we just have to be patient. Darn it! ;)

Hey I find a pound a week impressive. If you can keep that there will always be progress even if it's slow. You'll be laughing in two years about how worried you were it would take forever. I promise! =)

Thanks everyone. I do know how fast 2 years go, believe me. It's just that the little kid in me (yes, even 66 year olds have them) wants it NOW. LOL. @coco, I'll start doing the crunches today. I want to be toned under my drapes. Hehe.
