Woohoo! I've made it to the gym and escaped alive every day this week. It's only Thursday though... I think I have become the gym managers new pet project. Either that or there aren't too many fluffy women that join the gym in August and he's bored. He did say he was impressed with my ability to push through. I wonder if he realizes the main reason I push through is because I'm being watched! Sure I'm jiggling, huffing and puffing, and sweating like a donut at a weight watchers meeting but something in my head tells me failure is worse than looking like a hot mess.

My success so far... I can squat 50 lbs in reps of 12 for 3 sets without failing aka keeling over and dying. I died on the 4th set. I can do walking lunges in sets of 12 but I wobble like a toddler in a new pair of shoes. I can do 3 planks without flopping on the ground like a fish. Sure I'm shaking, cursing, and calling the clock a liar but I can do it. Today I did 15 pushups before I just couldn't push up anything. I did 3 sets of 12 reps and 2 sets of 10 reps for incline pushups at the bottom bar and 5 sets of 12 body rows on the 4th bar (think of a reverse pushup hanging from a bar). The bar bit means nothing to you but I want to read this 3 months from now and see where I came from. And side planks? They're evil. I can do two full minute on each side but lost muscles and couldn't complete a 3rd. Literally.. the muscles in my sides went bye-bye and said they weren't picking my fat butt back up anytime soon.

Tomorrow is suppose to be my rest day. I think this was the managers way of politely saying I look like a hot mess and need to recover since I walk like I have serious issues. The good part is I can throw a bag of feed around on Saturday to get the leg workout in at home. The arm workout I'm thinking I can do using a cow stall. Sure the cow will look at me funny and probably try to eat my hair but that's just motivation right??

Food was right on target yesterday. It should be right on target tonight. I'm drinking water like I'm a fish. And the other gym people are checking me out and talking to me now. lol Apparently if you show up every day and look like a mess when you leave then they're more willing to learn your name. Tomorrow is cardio! Hello wierd looking elliptical thingy that's not an elliptical! I love strange contraptions that torture me.

Great job!! You are definitely stronger than me. I probably would have died trying to keep up with you! Wanting to push through because you're being watched is better than not doing it at all because you're being watched, so I think you've got the right attitude. Have fun with the cardio tomorrow!

Excellent! I read somewhere that you're not really working out unless you're bright red & sweaty, I think it was something a fitness coach I know posted on FB. Well, you are awesomely working out! The people at the gym most likely are accepting you as one of them.:o) After a year of Zumba & other classes, most people at my huge gym say hi, a lot will stop & chat. You've got it going on, woo hoo!
