Hubs and I celebrated our 15-year "engage-iversary" on Friday night. Yay! :-) Cocktails were involved, as were large quantities of shellfish. And then a fancy dinner with friends on Saturday night ended with luscious deep-fried beignets all covered in powdered sugar.


You will notice that I haven't recorded any food this weekend, partly because it's too hard to judge the calorie and carb count, and partly because I just can't face it. FS is nagging me to weigh in, too, and I don't wanna do it and don't wanna know. Argh!

I got down to 150 lbs.. then I fell off the wagon and kissed dirt that strangely tasted like chocolate and pizz and .. you get the idea. I'm pretty sure I've now put on about 20 lbs. If I can weigh in tomorrow and finally face the truth then you can too! If you can't.. well then smack me around until I do. I need to get back to 150. It felt like heaven compared to where I am now.

I didn't notice - it's funny - we all record (or I did .. I stopped in June) with the same approach as we do jobs... as if someone is going to 'check our diary and OMG what will they say when they see that ice cream' and once I even fudged (mmm fudge) the numbers to keep the RDI from turning RED because I just KNEW someone would see that. LOL. Crazy. Point? Regardless of recording it or not it won't change what you ate. And even when you have a zillion caloric to energy deficit it won't guarantee that you lose exactly Xlbs / 3500 calories - at least, it never worked that way for me. So what am I rambling? Good on you for enjoying your large quantities of shellfish. And then a fancy dinner with friends on Saturday night ended with luscious deep-fried beignets all covered in powdered sugar!

Dear friends, thank you for rallying 'round! I will be brave and weigh myself tomorrow. I use the scale in the gym at work. (I gave my old bathroom scale to Goodwill ages ago because I had no good place to put it in my bathroom. And I hated the thing anyway. ;-) )
