The weight loss is picking up speed again! YAY!

Looks like I'm going to have to do another round of brand new recipes. I did it back in January (a new recipe each night for the entire month) with limited success, but this one will focus less on pleasing the picky family and more on working within my limitations. It's very clear to me that it simply has to happen, I can't rely on being able to throw something together, last minute, with what I have on hand, as I've usually been able to do. I also can't rely on just getting something out, because 1) we don't have the money and 2) It's very likely I cannot eat it.

I will say that the bread I make lasts a lot longer, now that I'm not eating it! LOL!

Yay you ~ I think my weight loss track has developed it's own little speed bumps and a pothole or two. So cool, all that time you're not making fresh bread as often gets to be used to make food for you; nice balance, right?

I'm so proud of you for making that decision. HUGS..

LOL-VERY nice balance, Bella. I'm still learning, and still frustrated occasionally. I need to figure out how much of what to get, I'm thinking I may go to Sam's to get my cottage cheese in the big container, one small one only lasts me a few days (I like it for breakfast, I think you turned me on to that). Also need to divide up my grocery money so that I have funds available to fill in my fresh veggies, I'm going through them, again, in just a few days and the next couple of weeks I'm struggling to figure out what to eat. I DID purchase multiple bags of nuts, and the spousal unit mixed up some personalized trail mix for me, and that has been invaluable to have on hand. Keeps me from junk-fooding when I get the hungries and we're out somewhere. It's all a journey, really. I was seriously beating myself up the other day for not making better progress, and myself barged in on this conversation and said "HEY! Lay off! She's gone through 3 different hormone level disruptions and totally changed her way of eating, in the last five months! She's doing FINE, better than fine even! How many other people would have stuck it out this long!" I sat down and shut up, after having had such a telling off from myself. I was right, after all, and myself knew it. (you know, it's quite pronounally difficult to differentiate ones nicer self from ones mean self)

Yeah!! Lay off.. she's been through hell and back in the hormone level issues and the other physical issues. She's doing BEAUTIFULLY!!! Nothing to beat yourself up over. We all have our hard headed attributes and we figure out how to deal with them. I have a 'nice' side?? Oh Hell no!!! The Bitch side rules my world!! lol

Are you kidding me? You're talking to 'Sybil' herself you know. I have yet to figure out all of the personalities roaming around in here and constantly feel like there are at least two if not three of me swirling about handling things. Sure, I may look like I'm talking to the dog or plants but 'we' know what's going on in here. Cottage cheese - love it but it was more my night snack than breakfast so that must of been someone else (or one of the other voices...these days I'm just not so sure anymore) But cheese, period, for the sake of cheese, is a 24/7 food for me - I'd probably get it in an IV if they made it. My latest is crumbling it up to have with my own 'home mixed' nuts & fruit snack. Have you tried the blue diamond butter toffee roasted almonds? Yum! A few of those go a long way mixed in with the rest of the natural roasted stuff. I hope this all makes sense; my vision is so blurred I'm relying on the computer to correct my spelling.

Missy you are full of so much robust bull product-you ooze nice out of every pore, you're one of the kindest most loving people I know! (dont' any of you believe what she just said about herself, she's one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, that it has been my privilege to know). @Bella, well maybe it was someone else. In any case, love the stuff and it makes a more than adequate snack or meal with some veggies or fruit or nuts. I do love me some cheese too, and as I'm eating so many fewer calories from empty carbs I am enjoying it guilt free. The weight is dropping, the health and well being are vastly improved, so I'm not going to worry over much about the fat content in things like avocados, nuts, and cheese. It's real food, as opposed to crap, and the results speak for themselves.

YUP-I just checked back Missy, it WAS you!

Yup - the fat in real food is way better than the fat in junk, fast, or processed food. The only thing is sometimes I have to yank my fat leash and remind myself to 'heel' because too much good fat is still too much. Such a balancing act isn't it. Finding out something is good for you and then keeping it to a good level.

Believe it or not Avacados are very good for you. They are high in fat and Carbs but they have so many positive benefits for your body that I ignore everything and enjoy them on my salad or eggs or whatever I'm having that it might make more tasty. now, about the 'robust bull product' comment.. Very funny and thank you for being so sweet but hmmmmm... I think NOT! lol

Hey I've missing your journals - you are doing so well. Giving up the wheat is really working for you. I am so pleased that you feel so much better. And losing weight - bonus!
