Monday was a really bad day...starting to wonder if there is something physiclly wrong with me. I was so tired, my eyes ached and all my muscles were sore. Had my doctors appointment and my test results are still saying I'm on way to high a dose of thyriod medication. But I looked so miserable that my doctor did increase it slightly and referred me to a specialist. He agrees that I shouldn't be feeling so crappy but is uncomfortable with keeping me on this level of medication with these test results.

Trying to get back to a better eating plan. First cutting out all junk food...I got in the habit of running to the store and picking up crap when I was bored and tired of my cooking. Once I have that out of my system then I have to cut portion sizes and get back to recording my food to stay on track. That uncontrollable need to be at seems to be easing.

Our nightly thunderstorm is starting...thankfully nice and early. I love a good storm but not at 2:00 in the morning when I have to work the next day. We have had so much rain that I haven't watered the garden once this year. It been a weird weird summer.

Sorry to hear you had a bad day. Health issues are so difficult. I hope you feel better very soon. Cutting junk food is a great idea. I always feel better when I eat healthy. Take care FOL.

Going to see a specialist sounds like a good idea. I hope that you don't have to wait long for an appointment. It's nice that you have a garden. My tomatoes aren't doing so great (and the bunnies like to eat bell pepper plants). My herb garden is doing well and I use the herbs a lot with veggies I buy at the farmers market. I hope that your garden is doing better than mine. Even if the results aren't what we want, it's still fun to work in a garden.

hang in there and be patient with yourself. it sounds challenging but hopefully your doc can get you in the right direction.

Feel better soon buddy - that's horrible to feel bad and not know why. Good on you for getting rid of the junk food but no judgement; I can definitely identify on how it can be so easy to do when you get tired of cooking. Do you have any places around that offer decent prepared food for those nights when you just don't feel like rattling the pots?

Thanks all, getting back into junk food was the worse thing I could do and it takes sometime to retrain my taste buds. I'm just glad that I'm not obsessing over food all day. My flower are mainly doing good but the tomatos and basil don't like the cooler weather and rain. I live in a village and there isn't really anyplace to go out to eat that isn't really crappy or really high calorie. I have to get back to cooking and freezing up a good variety of meals and trying new things. Things will get better if my mood continues to improve.

Hey FOL!!! I am just getting back in the swing of things again myself. I have been weaning myself away from the starchy carbs and sugars, too. I think it's been harder this time around ... I really let myself go for months. What were we thinking? As you get back to cooking again, your mood will improve, I promise. It is happening to me. Don't be hard on yourself. We have all done it. The beauty of it is... you are still here and still trying. Let's get back on track... on meal at a time. We can do this. We have to. Hugs!
