Well, I am back and I am exactly where I was two years ago when I started this journey. STRESS has been my first, middle and last name for the past few months and I have gained back all that I lost, relost, and regained. Not proud of myself but that is where I am today. There are hundreds of excuses that I could offer and all are merely that excuses. My goal is to be healthier as I have watched my blood sugar go up and know that with diet and exercise I can get it back under control The stressors in my life are going to persist for awhile but I need to turn to God and allow Him to take on the burdens. How ironic it is that when life is out of kilter that one usually has drifted away from everything that works.

I haven't decided exactly what way of eating I am going to follow but I think it will be a cross between low carb and weight watchers. I have tried both and needless to say, they work when applied. Personally, WW gives me more freedom with food choices but it also doesn't watch the carbs as closely. Since I am pre-diabetic I need to get the carbs under control.

So here I go, one more time....

Gwen, I know how you feel, but as long as you resolve to never give up, then success is just a matter of time. So, get focused, and back on the road to victory. You can do it! Failure is not an option! :-)

You are definitely right, ShyGuy...and it's buddies like you that keep calling me back! I think lots of us know how I feel. None of us are at our first rodeo where weight gain is involved. Hopefully, for some it will be their last! Thanks for the welcome back.

Welcome back Gwen!!. I am still working on losing the last 15, and will get there!!!! I understand the need to be healthy! We need to put ourselves first when it comes to our health. We can't take care of our families if we don't! WW never worked for me, but Atkins is the BOMB, to weight loss. If I can help in any way, please let me know.
